Orlando, Fla. March 6, 2017 – Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, will educate restaurant facilities management professionals on how to optimize the demanding kitchen environment and how they can benefit from the latest energy services offerings at the Restaurant Facility Management Association (RFMA) annual conference. The event is scheduled to take place March 5-7 in Orlando.
CNN Money reports that restaurants nationwide are struggling to fill chef and other kitchen positions, while the National Restaurant Association predicts 1.7 million new restaurant jobs by 2026. In this competitive environment, creating a comfortable working environment is more critical than ever.
Greg DuChane, retail-restaurant vertical market leader at Trane, will join other thought leaders to educate attendees on how they can optimize commercial kitchens to help overcome a challenging hiring market for chefs and other kitchen staff. Kitchens are one of the most energy-intense environments in the commercial building segment and present significant challenges when optimizing occupant comfort while balancing energy efficiency.
“Restaurant facilities management teams are facing more pressure than ever to provide a comfortable restaurant environment for patrons, and a productive working environment to attract and retain talented staff,” DuChane said. “Fortunately, the latest high-performance kitchen solutions and connected systems and services offer more options than ever before to help drive restaurants success.”
Attendees will learn what constitutes optimal occupant comfort, how to assess their existing kitchen environment for both occupant comfort and energy use, and improve occupant comfort without giving up on achieving important energy efficiency goals. DuChane’s presentation, “Too Few Cooks – Optimizing the Kitchen Environment” will take place on March 7 at 8 a.m.
At the Trane booth, #1721, attendees will learn about additional options for optimizing commercial kitchen and restaurant environments. The Trane Building Advantage suite of energy services offerings assists retail facility managers with managing and operating efficient and sustainable facilities.
The collection of offerings helps building managers recognize their buildings as assets by providing choices for delivering bottom-line financial results and furthering completion of regulatory requirements. Trane Building Advantage capabilities include: energy management systems and services, building controls and automation, renewable energy and power solutions, energy contracting and energy procurement, and management services.
