NFMT Baltimore 2017 Attendees Learn about Connected Buildings and Strategic Building Management
Baltimore, March 6, 2017 — Facilities professionals can learn from Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, about connected buildings and best practices for strategic building management at NFMT Baltimore 2017 held March 7-9 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
Facility managers face an abundance of challenges with scarce resources,” said Jason Bingham, vice president, energy services and controls, Trane. “Yet, most have aspirations of creating world class facilities. Trane has developed the technology and talent with our connected building approach that will make it easy for facility managers to succeed.”
Trane booth visitors can gain knowledge about Trane Building Advantage energy service offerings and the technology that connects these components to ensure a building remains at peak performance.
These offerings now include the new Trane Tracer® Ensemble™ building management system which provides an enterprise-wide view into multiple building control systems. An enhanced user interface makes advanced system control fast and easy. New capabilities offer business advantages for both building owners and their tenants.
Workshop attendees also can learn from Jeffrey Light, FACHE, director of Strategy and Business Development for Trane, about how to undertake a strategic best practices approach to infrastructure improvements, especially at healthcare facilities and in consideration of population management.
The presentation will describe how to develop a business impact decision matrix as part of the capital allocation process, taking into account an organization’s balance on cost, quality, and service. Attendees also will learn about potential options for financing facility improvements, including performance contracting. Light’s presentation, “Improving Healthcare Infrastructure: Best Practices” will be at 9 am on March 8.
